The rowing machine effectively increases the heart rate and provides an excellent overall aerobic workout.

The rowing activity targets both the upper body (i.e., abs, obliques, pecs, biceps, triceps, deltoids, upper back, and lats) and the sliding of the seat targets the lower body (i.e., calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes). Also, the hands and wrists become stronger due to gripping the rower handles.

Another benefit of the rowing machine is that it’s a low impact activity, making it easy for anyone to perform regardless of fitness level.
